- Finding a good apartment takes longer than expected. Quality flats in Vračar or Dedinje move fast, allow 4–6 weeks.
- You need a Serbian tax number (PIB) for almost everything. Bank accounts, phone contracts, and more.
- The kafić culture is a work model. Meetings often happen over coffee. That's not wasted time, it's networking.
- Serbian is harder than it sounds. Cyrillic and Latin scripts in parallel, Slavic grammar. Patience pays off.
- Healthcare: go private. Private clinics are affordable and professional.
